VATCA Formation

VATCA was established as the Virtual Air Traffic Control Authority for Central and South America within VATSIM.

2010

First Major Expansion

Incorporation of major airports including Ezeiza (SAEZ), Guarulhos (SBGR), and Mexico City (MMMX).

2012

Training Program Launch

Introduction of structured ATC training programs with standardized certification levels.

2015

Technology Upgrade

Implementation of advanced radar systems and improved flight simulation technology.

Regional Events

Launch of annual regional events and air shows featuring major South American airlines.

Modernization

Complete overhaul of the member portal and introduction of mobile-compatible systems.

Current Status

Leading regional VATSIM division with over 8,000 active members and 20+ certified training facilities.
